Using a unique credential and/or biometric information, employees, vendors and visitors are assigned access levels. Each access level permits access to specific areas and can be restricted by time, date or other criteria. Unauthorized attempts can be immediately reported.

In addition the ability to remotely control a facility especially in weather related, emergency or other conditions is a great management tool. The elimination of issuing mechanical keys and re-keying locks is also a big time and cost savings.

Identification badging is supported, allowing the access card to also function as the ID. Multiple ID badge templates can be created for different classifications of employees. Using smart card technology critical information can also be stored on the card such as employee certifications and medical information.

The reporting capabilities are a valuable tool. Access activities and unauthorized attempts can be quickly documented and card holder photos can be compared to recorded video. Integration of third party systems such as HR, time clock and vending services can also be integrated.
