With the mission of deploying security technologies to anticipate, preempt and deter threats Advantech has been a major player in the Homeland Security sector. In the event threats materialize our technologies are also designed to assist in the rapid response and defensive posture.

Shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 the Coast Guard recognized the need to immediately secure critical infrastructure to include pipelines. Due to our ability to quickly respond and design solutions Advantech was awarded a contract to secure critical infrastructure. With in a few weeks system designs were completed, approved and the systems were installed. This was a huge accomplishment especially considering the harsh environments and communication issues that were resolved.

Since then we have completed numerous Homeland Security projects and are constantly working on new projects. These have included Ports, Pipelines, Emergency Management, Chemical Plants, Critical Government Infra-structure, Public Health, Emergency Responders, Transit, Law Enforcement and Defense projects. Many projects span large geographic areas and provide remote monitoring and control.
